It is located on East 10th Street & 2nd Ave in the East Village. There's $1 Pizza within a block, great Sushi places and unique village bars and restaurants nearby. Times Square is not a far ways away, but you get a whole different feel living here and partying around the city. This hot Downtown location makes it easy to hit the NYC nightlife.
You are right near NYC clubs, lounges, lofts, and chic restaurants. Take a look at the pictures and check out the modern furniture and tasteful artwork.
The place has been renovated, refurbished, freshly painted and cleaned to perfection.

Witam, pobyt w Nowym Jorku udał się bardzo dobrze, choć: przybył do mieszkania zadzwoniłem pod numer telefonu, który miałem w lewo, ale nikt nie odpowiedział mi, na szczęście nie był pan, który podzielił śmieci budynku i jest zaniepokojony x xchè mieliśmy 2 dzieci, z 1 rok, a następnie mieszkanie wniosek nie był dostępny więc wysłali nas do pięknego hotelu, ale byliśmy proszeni o depozyt $ 75, gdy nie jest wymagane mieszkanie! i to nie są zainteresowani, aby przed ostrzec ponieważ nasz numer telefonu masz to możesz nam powiedzieć, a nie czyniąc nam czekać 3 godziny w barze!
salve, la permanenza a new york è andata molto bene anche se: arrivata all'appartamento ho chiamato il numero di telefono che mi aveva lasciato ma non mi rispondeva nessuno, fortunatamente c'era un signore che divideva la spazzatura del palazzo e si è preoccupato x noi xchè avevamo 2 bambini di cui una di 1 anno, poi l'appartamento richiesto non era disponibile quindi ci hanno mandato in un albergo bellissimo però ci hanno chiesto una caparra di 75 dollari quando nell'appartamento non era richiesta! e poi non vi siete interessati di avvertirci prima dato che voi il nostro numero telefonico lo avevate potevate dircelo invece di farci aspettare 3 ore dentro un bar!!!
The rented apartment, advertized on the platform wimdu.de as „Luxus-LOFT 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder – Ausstattung“ ("Luxury LOFT 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths – Equiped”) had several serious defects and deviations from the published specifications. The use of the apartment as described in the ad was not possible, leading to additional unplanned costs and expenses. As per the terms and conditions, all problems were promptly reported and well documented by photographs.
The shortcomings in detail:
• Severe uncleanliness (including bed sheets, towels, bathroom, kitchen, refrigerator, floors) and other serious hygiene issues throughout the entire apartment
• No Wi-Fi or Internet access, a direct deviation from the terms of reference in your ad
• Toilet was broken/defective – the tank ran constantly
• Air conditioning unit did not work (it was masked)
• Soiled linens and bedding
• One of the bedrooms had no bedding whatsoever (due to the low temperatures it was not possible to stay overnight)
• Soiled towels
• Dirty, foul-smelling refrigerator – completely non-usable
• Non-usable cabinets (misconstruction)
• Dirty floors throughout the apartment and in particular the bathrooms
• Dirty windows
• The trash was never emptied
• There were defective doorknobs which would fall out of the door
• There was no laundry detergent
• The clocks were defective
• TVs did not work – all four of them
No promised on-site support was received from you as the responsible US agency. No support was received at any time, no action was taken to address any of the shortcomings. A selection of the submitted photographs can be found in the appendix to my e-mail.
Windu is the most expensive website to rent an apartment on the face of the earth. Based on an email sent by CityKit (Management Company of the property) the actual cost of the apartment was $2001.00 for 7 days but we paid to Windu 2,421.21. This means 420 (20%) commission. Making this type of commission could be typical in the industry but letting the client to find out about it is very unprofessional. Hiding key information like the location of the apartment is no very professional either (third floor without elevator) Later we realized the apartment was in poor shape and not properly maintained, CityKit totally ignored our request for simple things missing like extra cover and linen for the sofa bed or to send a technician to fix a huge leak on the bathroom sink. Definitely I won't recommend Wimdu to a friend.

Great location, but it is not really a 1BR apartment, It's a very small place, well locatedand clean. But when you add in all the costs (e.g. Wimdu booking fee) and hassle (driving back and forth to guest services for the key, TV not working) you wonder if it would have been more convenient to stay in a hotel.
It is a really nice apartment. Our stay there was perfect. It has room enough for 4 people and it´s very clean and comfortable. In addition, it is located in the center of Manhattan, close to the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Times Square and many other interesting places to visit. I loved it!
This apartment is very compact and 4 flight up (no lift). The beds and pillows are not comfortable and need to be replaced. The hot water supply to the shower is irregular and in winter having cold showers is not pleasant. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone with children or over the age of 50. The location is excellent but it does not offset the negatives.
we enjoy your flat, very clean, no noise on the bedrooms side, noisy on the front side if some one has to sleep in the sofa.
the can opener needs to be change, and the bread grill works if you keep a finger on the button, the rest was fine,
we had the keys inside the flat waiting for us in the evening and a neighbour opened the front door for us. the east village is a cool place to stay, very closed to the subway, Great ! eric from France
the explanations to get the keys were good, the front door was missing, but the keys were gaved to us in the evening.
We cannot recommend this place at all. We saw mice in the kitchen. Noice from the street was very loud and the bathroom was tiny. We met homeless outside the entrance to the house several times, presumably because it looked very bad from outside. Some things were either inexpedient set up or did not work.
The apartment as described on the Wimdu site looked the same as the advertised picture on arrival in terms of decor, however you would not describe it as either "stunning" or 'newly renovated". There was plenty of clean linen however the cleaning was fairly basic, two of the main living area's light fittings were held together with gaffer tape and paper, 2 light globes were out [these were replaced at our request and the toilet cistern constantly played up. The main bedroom had no hanging space, the cupboard had 4 narrow shelves. Our suitcases had to be kept in the living area as there wasnt enough floor space in the bedroom. The location was described as" Brand new Midtown 3Bed 2Bath" onWest30th and 9th -this was the rental I had selected and put a deposit on I assumed, however the apartment was located onWest29th and 9th. I had emailed the host to query the different address and to check on the beds/baths but as it had the same 8253 on the Wimdu site ,I assumed it would be ok. I had communicated to the host that we were staying there for my daughter's wedding. So, it was on the top floor of 3, situated over a noisy bar and opposite the US mail sorting building which went all night, the trucks ran all night as well as trucks running to the Lincoln Tunnel so we all bought earplugs to block out the noise in order to sleep at night. The airconditioners thankfully worked and their noise helped blockout the traffic noise and heat . The apartment's entrance had a double door which helped with security as the ground floor bar was a regula rgathering place for drunks and the homeless At ground level inside the apartment block the garbage was piled high for the first week and really stank. The apartment was described as having "elevator and laundry on premises" This wasnt the case it was a 3 floor walkup. This was especially annoying as I had booked this apartment over others because of this feature. When we arrived on Sunday night after a very long flight from Australia the booking office closed soon after we collected the keys and then we still had to make our way to the apartment..There was no welcoming letter or message from the host in the apartment, no instructions re working of TV etc. The place needs work the windows need cleaning as does under the beds . The light on the outside landing didnt work so the steep stairs werent lit either. Also more to the point no one was there to go over the state of the flat as we took possession. These guys had my $500 holding deposit -what if there was a dispute over the state of the apartment? At the end of our stay I waited for the inspector to show up, she was very nice. We wanted to make sure there would be no issues with the apartment. We found out that the previous tenants had trashed the place, obviously the flat had been given a quick fix ie taped up light fittings! Wimdu needs to do a more thorough "quality check" Lastly the host Reuven emailed "if you have a late flight you are welcome to leave your luggage in our office and pick it up later" He does not mention that it will cost $5 per bag to do so
I was also quite surprised to find that the ENTIRE amount $6878 was deducted from my credit card on the day I made the booking in April even though we were not arriving until September. We travel overseas regularly and have never had a bad experience until now. We will not be using Wimdu ever again and will advise everyone else against it. Our business friend who books with Wimdu for airline staff recommended the site to us was equally disappointed.
It seems the only recourse to poor service is a bad review
